In Lanzarote gibt es sehr schöne Fotomotive. Ich habe hier zum ersten mal meine INSTA 360 X5 ausprobiert. Diese Kamera minnt ein 360 Grad Bild auf. In der Nachbearbeitung kann man sich dann entscheiden, welchen Blickwinkel, welchen Bildausschnitt, welchen Schwenk oder Geschwindigkeit wiedergegeben werden soll. Sehr spannend. In this episode we’re fitting our brand new Precision Sails furling Genoa and it’s amazing! We finally left Portland after an amazing winter making new friends and enjoying this awesome Marina. Honestly we can't recommend Portland Marina highly enough. People told us it would be remote and exposed but it didn't feel like that to us. Yes there were storms, but that's normal for the whole south coast of the UK and they were no worse than what we're used to in North Wales where we come from. We felt safe and secure and even when the wind was hitting 70+ it didn't feel insecure or scary. Facilities wise it was amazing, LIDL on the doorstep, Chandleries, sail makers, mechanical supplies, all within a minute or two from the marina. But all good things come to an end and we're off again to new places, and maybe some old places. Che la vela può essere il mezzo ideale per abbattere le barriere, dissolvere il concetto di normalità Nel 2011 al Marina di Punta Ala è stata realizzata una Base Accessibile per rendere veramente possibile l’attività di Para Sailing agli atleti disabili, contestualmente sono arrivate le prime tre barche e partiti i corsi. Nel 2019 nasce la squadra agonistica. Ora alla flotta si sono unite altri due Hansa 303 grazie alla donazione di IBSA che ha anche lanciato in tutta Italia, con la FIV, la Para Sailing Accademy. L’obiettivo ora una promozione a livello europeo. L’Hansa 303 è stato studiato apposta per i velisti disabili: è lunga 3 metri e 3 centimetri (da qui il nome) ed è larga 1,35 con un pescaggio di un metro. Il peso della sola barca è di 55 kg, a cui vanno aggiunti i 30 della deriva. La barca non può scuffiare, in caso sbandi molto e imbarchi acqua riamane a galla dritta, a filo del mare. Può essere usata in singolo o in doppio, il timone è centrale ed è verticale, a “Joystick”. Il boma è molto alto e le manovre sono molto semplici, con randa e fiocco avvolgibili e solo le tre scotte da gestire oltre al timone. Nonostante sia un’imbarcazione piccola nelle dimensioni e di semplice gestione è comunque estremamente sensibile al timone, grazie prima di tutto al profilo lungo e profondo del timone, e molto divertente da portare. Day one in Maui, and of course, I was drawn straight to the harbor. After nearly 24 hours of travel (including a mid-flight emergency where my old nursing skills kicked back in!), I landed at Maʻalaea Harbor — the second windiest harbor in the world. For me, this walk is more than just a look at boats. It's a connection to my roots. It's a grounding feeling of home, thousands of miles away from gypsy and my soul mate. It’s a reflection on why the ocean keeps calling me back — from growing up in Valdez, Alaska and Prince William Sound, to now living and creating aboard with Scott as we take on the unfolding journey of refitting our 80’ triple-masted Thomas Colvin schooner, The Alaskan Gypsy.
