Right in the first couple of weeks after delivery of Greatcircle in Bordeaux the cat was tested in some challenging conditions. Flying from Gibraltar to Ibiza with over 50 knots of wind in the back. May have broken the all time speed record with a Lagoon with 27,2 knots.... Very happy to have an experienced skipper on board in the beginning so we could experience how well the 52S handles even in conditions like this. Since then Greatcircle has been cruising the Med and we recently decided to join the ARC at the end of 2019.

Now that government restrictions are starting to be lifted in Italy I was delighted to have the opportunity to re-visit SILENT Yachts to update you on the construction of their amazing 80' solar electric catamaran. I was surprised to find that not only have they kept progressing with the progress, but they have also sold multiple new units during lockdown!
