The start of the 31st edition of the Zwitserleven Round Texel, 'Ronde om Texel', took place at 10am on the 7th of June in 2008. The event is the biggest Cat Race in the World, with over 500 catamarans participating annually. Crews come from continents all over the world, and vary from leisure sailors to Tornado Class Olympic Sailing Regatta Challengers.
The 31st edition of the Zwitserleven Round Texel Race, 'Ronde om Texel', was held on the 7th of June in 2008. The fastest time was 2 hours and 44 min.
The Round Texel Race, (Zwitserleven Ronde om Texel) is the biggest cat race on the globe, with about 500 catamaran participating each year, challenging the festest time around the island.

The UK's first bespoke wheelchair accessible cruising power catamaran, launched on 27th September 2008. A lift takes you up to the flybridge, and a passerelle can get you on and off the boat. A bathing platform can be lowered into the sea to get you in and out of the water. Twin helms on bridgedeck and flybridge mean you can control the boat from either level, and a BBQ and wetbar on the flybridge mean you don't have to go hungry or thirsty.
