Published on July 4, 2013 The basic hull had about 2 years of work on it and a tween and top deck were added. It was time to add a couple of coats of primer and the colorful orange stripes to the extended hull. After painting, and a series of updates and modifications, the Tall Ship Oliver Hazard Perry of Newport RI is launched on the 500 Ton travel lift at Newport Shipyard. Man Overboard! This edition of the Annapolis Yacht Club Wednesday Night Races was an adventure. Dark clouds and lightning loomed while crafty current sucked hundreds around the bay. A junior sailor had a come-from-behind victory in the J70 class and the film boat picked up a man overboard.
