http://tulasendlesssummer.com for more fun adventures! Here is a quick skate through Jupiter River Walk and the new Harborside Place. The walk starts right next to Jupiter Dunes Natural area and is connected east by a path along ocean way all the way to the Atlkantic Ocean. Heading North from Jupiter Dunes on the River Walk you stay right along the intracoastal and have mangroves all along the west side of the walk. You eventually come to Jupiter Yacht Club and Marina with some beautiful boats all docked in the marina. There are some nice shops and restaurants in her including the Dive Bar. If you continue around the marina and head north still you will pass under the Indian Town Bridge and eventually come to Jupiter's New Harborside Place. There are many shops and nice restaurants in Harborside including The Broken Egg Cafe, Tommy Bahamas, Bravo, BurgerFi, and the Wyndham Grand Hotel. If you stay along the waterfront you can see some nice yachts docked along the private floating docks. Eventually you will come to a neat little amphitheater and fountain where some well known artists play once in a while. Continue around the amphitheater and reach the end of Harborside to Highway US 1. The walk seems to end here but plans call for it to continue under the next small bridge and reach all the way to Jupiter Inlet Village where Guanabanas, U-Tiki, and Square Grouper restaurants are. We had departed Savusavu in Fiji with Namena Divers to dive around Namena Reef when we came across a pod of Pilot Whales cruising in the deep oceans between the islands. The operator agreed to stop and allowed us to enter the water with these beautiful creatures. I am no expert with video, however I was pleased with what my Go Pro camera captured here. We were also thrilled with the pricing and professionalism of Namena Divers outfit - for all the shopping around we did, their pricing was the most reasonable ... and their equipment all brand new !

Today I decided to remove a few of the teak planks that appeared to be rotted. I removed the sealant, the boards and then used an ultrasonic scraper to remove the old sealant/epoxy that had been put down once before when it appears someone worked on the teak in the past. Getting reacquainted with White Raven after a 6 month hiatus. Light to no winds to start the afternoon, and then we had a nice 5-6 knot breeze out of the ENE. Still need to perform some patch work on the jib and our actual main sail, so we pulled down the jib right before the breeze struck. The battered old main from a J-24 is a bit baggy so there’s more heeling than would be seen with a nice flat main. Hopefully we can get the main sail and jib patched before our next outing! An open deck version of the trailable Wizard sailing in S California on Valentines day. In 6 knots of wind we were doing 8 knots with the screecher hoisted and a bit more under spinnaker. You'll see how easy it is to steer and in fact we let the tillers go and it still sailed straight.
