Today I decided to remove a few of the teak planks that appeared to be rotted. I removed the sealant, the boards and then used an ultrasonic scraper to remove the old sealant/epoxy that had been put down once before when it appears someone worked on the teak in the past. Getting reacquainted with White Raven after a 6 month hiatus. Light to no winds to start the afternoon, and then we had a nice 5-6 knot breeze out of the ENE. Still need to perform some patch work on the jib and our actual main sail, so we pulled down the jib right before the breeze struck. The battered old main from a J-24 is a bit baggy so there’s more heeling than would be seen with a nice flat main. Hopefully we can get the main sail and jib patched before our next outing!
