In this episode; We arrive at super chilled out Cay Caulker but northern weather systems warrant we find a more protected anchorage, so we’re off sailing south for Robinson island just 8 miles East of Belize City, but Robinson Island feels like a dodgy and slightly unsafe place to spend the night and so we continue sailing further, searching for somewhere safe to drop the anchor. At the end of this episode; awesome Drone footage of our anchorage at Commence Bight, Dangriga and then a few short bloopers... our GoPro is voice activated and doesn’t always listen! Spend an all inclusive week with us aboard our catamaran Saltair3 learning how to live aboard, prepare, repair, provision, check into foreign countries and sail a big cat, or just sit back, relax and enjoy being aboard Saltair3 in the warm and beautiful Caribbean Sea. (Ep.58) Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas!! Next stop... 2019! WHOOP! This week, we attempted to remove our engine.. which ended up being a epic fail! We spent the whole day setting up this A frame.. just for it to fail on us, but that's what this whole boat building experience has been about. Trial & Error. We show you the state of our engine bay & the future plans for it. We show you how corroded and gross looking our Z drive is. I get down to varnishing our cabinetry doors since.. it is a lengthy process & then we give Moses a big SURPRISE for Christmas... why?? because he's a legend & has helped us so much this year! If you know of anyone or you yourself live in the Port Elizabeth Vicinity and would like to employ Moses.. please email us on svladyafrica@gmail.com We also got our own surprise... which i won't give away in the description.. because that defeats the purpose of you watching the video now doesn't it ;) If you want to purchase one of our sweet coins go check out the link below: http://www.svseeker.com/wp/product/lady-africa-coin/ Thanks for watching! Crossing the Gulf Stream in good weather beats boat preparation hands down. And it starts days, even weeks before. Here’s why. In fact to Go or No Go on any passage scores: WEATHER 10 BOAT PREP Meh. Does this mean we should neglect our boat? No. But a boat, any boat, is NEVER ready. Good weather will make bath tubs and bleach bottles seaworthy. It is the Captains job to make the call.
