The SYC invitational attracts all kinds of boats from around the area to complete in pursuit style as well as one design racing with an after party to finish the regatta in grand style.

The Maritime Republic of Eastport challenges downtown Annapolis every year in the "Slaughter Across the Water" to raise money for charity. A rope stretched over Spa Creek connects 2nd street and City Dock and provides the playground for tugging, bands, food and merriment.
