Hier haben wir vor allem einen 4-wöchigen Spanischunterricht genossen, der unserem Vagabundenleben vorrübergehend Alltagsstruktur gegeben hat. In dieser Zeit durften wir auf einem Trimaran mitsegeln. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. ** NOW SOLD ** Makala is a Beneteau Oceanis 510 now exclusively for sale with YOTI. Launched in 1993 Makala represents an era of production boat building which gave us lasting strength, powerful hardware and sleek and beautiful lines both above and below deck. This example is offered for sale by just her second owner. She was first commissioned for her first owner in Perth, WA. Makala was set up to be a large capacity, comfortable, larger cruising boat for adventures with family and friends. Her current owner, an experienced shipwright, personally delivered the yacht back to Sydney. Makala is the four double cabin version with an additional crew cabin in the bow which doubles as a seriously large storage room. Each double cabin has its own private head and shower. The saloon is beautiful and was clearly designed to be a comfortable space for the full crew. The galley is functional both at rest or underway. Refrigeration is large and there is a separate freezer. The interior is finished in varnished teak and looks great. All main bulk heads are bonded and glassed to the hull giving excellent strength and rigidity. The 75Hp Yanmar shaft drive was installed new in 2007. It is centrally mounted under the island bench so access is excellent. Standing rigging was replaced in 2003 and the forestay and furler were new in approx 2016. The mainsail and genoa have been updated around 2010 and just serviced by Ian Short Sails in 2020. There are two spinnakers plus a spare mainsail. The keel is intelligently a shoal draft version so allows for ultimate exploring of anchorages. Makala was anti-fouled in just June 2021. Raymarine instrumentation includes a chart plotter in the cockpit plus auto-pilot. There is another plotter at the nav station. Makala is an extremely comfortable, easy to handle 50 foot yacht. This is not a vessel that intimidates as some 50 footers can; yet she has all the capacity, comfort and sea kindliness that comes with a larger yacht. With comfort and durability priorities on the design brief, this Oceanis 510 would suit anything from large group sailing to couple adventures. The Elan 40 is a genuine racer/cruiser from the design table of Rob Humphreys and extremely well built by Elan Marine in Slovenia, using modern technologies but with a respect to tradition. Elan Marine whose heritage in boat building dates back over seventy years are renowned for their innovation and quality of construction. Valparaiso was specified from the factory in race configuration, coming fitted with the deeper 2.4m keel, stainless-steel rod rigging, an increased mast height and larger sail area. She is a 3-cabin layout with a J-shaped galley to starboard fitted with a large top opening fridge, 3 burner gas stove and oven as well as twin basin stainless steel sinks.
