While on the outside the Bavaria 43 Cruiser has continued the traditional Bavaria styling of her predecessor, the Bavaria 42, on the inside it is a different story. The panel matched Mahogany timber work and revised layout provide an incredible feeling of space, light, and air. Midlife is a 3-cabin layout with a large V-Berth forward including an owners ensuite and two double guest cabins aft serviced by a separate head which boasts a stall area and seat for showering. The inline galley to port has a large front opening fridge with freezer, gas stove and oven as well as a microwave that can be operated off her 2400w inverter. To starboard is an enormous U-shaped settee that will accommodate the whole family and aft of that sits a full-sized navigation area. Ventilation in the saloon is outstanding with five opening ports and three hatches. Midlife has been lovingly maintained and improved by her current owner. Over the last three years she has had a new sail wardrobe, a custom fabricated archway with davits, custom made stanchion base plates for additional strength, a new Selden extendable bow sprit to run her asymmetrical spinnaker, a whisker pole to pole out the headsail as well as custom made pushpit back rests. ** NOW SOLD ** Pipedream is a Dehler 34 listed exclusively for sale with YOTI on Pittwater. Launched new in 1992, Pipedream presents in impressive condition. This is both a credit to her owners and the build quality of this German built yacht. The Dehler 34 represents an era of yacht building simply not replicated in most of today's production brands. The Dehler 34 succeeded in welding an excellent design mix to produce a genuine cruiser / racer. A good sized cockpit features the mainsheet easily reached by the helm, adequate room for a croozy lunch while at anchor (using the electric anchor winch), good access to the water via a stainless swim ladder and a heap of storage. A dodger is included which is easily folded down plus there is a three part boom tent (new 2016). Three genoas are included (one virtually unused) plus running gear is ready to accommodate a kite. New additional winches have been added making the genoa sheets easily reached from the helm making single handed sailing very inviting. Down below we see an interior designed for function, comfort and using materials with longevity in mind (just enough wood). This is a space that has been maintained the way it should. Windows, sea-cocks, furniture lining have been largely replaced when needed. The upholstery is original and is in excellent condition and still features the Dehler insignia on the backing. According to designer Alan Johnstone, the brief for the new 36ft 6in J/111 one-design was for a boat that he and the rest of the J/Boats crew would want to sail—and it shows. During a recent daysail off Newport, Rhode Island, hull #1 reveled in picture perfect sailing conditions, with winds out of the east in the mid to high teens. Sailing to windward, the boat was balanced and easy to drive through the moderate swells. Off the wind, the boat lit up under a massive, but easy to handle A-sail. Narrow beam and a deep, high-aspect rudder make the boat easy to control, even when it’s on its ear. A bulb keel drawing 7ft 2in provides the righting moment to control the 751ft2 of working sail and 1,410-ft2 spinnaker. Tacking, even in the chop off Newport Neck, was effortless, with precision helm control throughout and never a doubt about making it onto the other tack. In the puffs, the boat accelerated like flicking a switch. This is a boat that looks impressive just sitting at the dock. The stem is plumb, so much so that in profile it almost looks as though there is a hint of tumblehome. The stern is also nearly vertical, with minimal overhang, in the interest of maximizing sailing length.

This 38ft Bavaria Cruiser is a real beauty and a great versatile all rounder yacht. The German built Bavaria Cruiser 38 is a well proportioned, classic styled yacht that offers comfort, space and a great sailing experience. 'Shibumi' has had a great life with locally based owners taking extremely good care of her. They have enjoyed several seasons Club racing with RMYC, Avalon SC and Woody Point. They were drawn to the open cabin setting and her lovely light and roomy interior while her size and sail plan helped them to improve their sailing skills. They love nothing better than sailing in company and have made great friends and great memories. Now it's time for Shibumi to be enjoyed by you! Shibumi's interior presents (and still smells) like new. Being a 2-cabin, 1 head version, her large master cabin has an inviting island bed with excellent storage space. Her second cabin also has a great bed with hanging lockers and overhead lighting. Both cabins are fitted with lots of cabinets and lockers and come complete with foam mattress overlays to ensure a great night’s sleep. Bavaria designed a great sized head with a dedicated shower cubicle and a wet locker recessed aft of the toilet. Her galley is well appointed with lots of cabinets equipped with stylish crockery and utensils. The cockpit is finished in classic teak and offers full sun protection from a bimini, dodger and infill. All halyards run to clutches and winches under the dodger. There are four winches on her cockpit coamings and the mainsheet can be controlled from either side of the helm. A boom bag with lazy jacks and roller furling headsail all make for easy short handed sailing. The Volvo Penta engine is immaculate with very low hours (they are sailors) and with an excellent service history runs like new. Added features include a Raymarine auto pilot, all new batteries in 2020, an inflatable dinghy and outboard motor - which stow easily in the giant cockpit locker or ‘garage’ as her owners like to call it as there is plenty of room to house toys and extra gear. After a great day on the water, Shibumi's cockpit transforms to become 'the entertainer' for swims, canapés and cocktails. The aft transom swim platform lowers to extend her freeboard and access to the water is easy thanks to a folding steering wheel. Shibumi boasts a beautifully varnished table for entertaining with family or friends. At the helm of the project is the “dream team” that has built the latest models, namely the triumvirate of Patrick Le Quément, Marc Van Peteghem and Franck Darnet. The coachroof is the result of innovative aesthetic research with large glazed areas on the sides and a large vertical opening forward, that is concealed by rounded uprights. The mast is stepped on the coachroof in order to ensure optimum weight centering. The two helm stations are equipped with movable steering wheels, and provide excellent visibility over the water and - on each side - comfortable seating for two people. The cockpit enjoys the protection of a light but well-covered bimini. At the stern, a wide bench seat allows you to make the most of the table, which is itself set back. As for the nacelle, this is home to a large galley with a central island and a forward-facing chart table.
