Der Prozess war freundlich und höflich. Bei jeder Bewegung von einer Marina zur nächsten, muss jedes Mal bei der Guardia Frontera aus- und wieder eingecheckt werden. So funktioniert eben ein sozialistischer Überwachungsstaat. Hier in der Marina Hemingway ist die Guardia Frontera besonders gründlich und filzt das Boot komplett. Die bereits verklebte Drohne wird erneut geprüft, die Fahrräder müssen aus der Tiefe der Backskiste geholt werden. Wir hatten gedacht, dass dies nur beim Ein- und ggf. beim Ausklarieren erfolgt und sind ziemlich genervt. Ich hasse es einfach, wenn jemand in meinen Unterhosen rumwühlt. Immer freundlich bleiben. Es fällt schwer. Kuba leidet unter der Benzinknappheit. Busse fahren nur sporadisch, Taxen sind sehr teuer, da häufig das Benzin auf dem schwarzen Markt besorgt werden muss. Es sind ca. 30 Autominuten in die Innenstadt von Havanna. So kommen wir nur zweimal insgesamt in die Innenstadt, allerdings beide Male stilecht mit einem der pinkfarbenen Cabrios aus den 50-er Jahren. Habt Ihr konkrete Fragen? Dafür haben wir uns einen Katamaran gekauft, mit dem wir Anfang März 2021 von der französischen Atlantikküste auf die Barfußroute gestartet sind. Seit vielen Jahren war eine Weltumsegelung mein (Hannes) großer Traum, den ich berufsbedingt zum Renteneintrittsalter verwirklichen wollte. Manchmal kommt das Leben aber anders als man plant. Im Frühjahr 2020 erhielt ich die Diagnose Morbus Parkinson. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März 2021geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. For navigation, the SHARKI 39 is kitted with a suite of advanced instruments, including a HECTA speedometer and anemometer, a HECTA depth sounder, FURUNO radar, GARMIN GPS, a FURUNO navigation pilot, and FURUNO autopilot. Onboard comfort features include a new 20L hot water balloon boiler, diesel heating, an ENO stove, and blackout blinds combined with a mosquito net for the perfect sleep environment. The sailboat also boasts a water filter and an inspection hatch to a fuel tank with a capacity of 340L. A substantial water tank with a 750L capacity supports longer journeys. For controlling the vessel, you have the choice between wheel steering and a tiller. The Iliad 50 that we tested in MW169 has already seen 7 examples sold in Australia... Building on its success, the yard is announcing the Iliad 53S: this new model is innovative in terms of design, as it does not have a flybridge, thus presents a sporty silhouette, or sedan appearance - hence the “S”. With its significantly lowered superstructure, the 53S can venture onto inland waterways, opening up new cruising possibilities. Like her predecessors, this powercat is a beachable cruising boat, solidly built in a foam/vinylester sandwich.
