Die deutsche Community in der Marina Santa Marta bricht zum Großteil direkt zu den San Blas Inseln auf. Noch vor zwei Wochen wehten südliche Winde, sozusagen direkt von Santa Marta nach Santo Domingo. Eine außergewöhnliche Windsituation, die wir hätten nutzen können. Dann hätten wir aber Kolumbien nicht kennengelernt. Ich persönlich hätte darauf nicht verzichten wollen. Somit steht uns ein viertägiger Segeltörn bevor. Hart am Wind und sicherlich kein Spaziergang. Doch dann kam wieder, wie so oft im Seglerleben, alles ganz anders. Die Flautenzone vor der kolumbianischen Küste existiert nicht und der Plan, mal eben flux bis zum Punta Galinas zu motoren, bleibt im tagelangen mühsamen Kreuzen stecken. Nördlich dieser Nordspitze Kolumbiens und südlich der Dominikanischen Republik sind Strömungsbereiche ausgewiesen. Dass aber das gesamte karibische Becken Strömungen bereithält, wirft uns in unserem Zeitplan zurück. 1,5 bis 3,0 kn von vorn, lässt die Reisezeit schnell um 1,5 Tage anwachsen. Dieselbe Strömung von der Seite verlangsamt zwar nicht die Bootsgeschwindigkeit, sorgt aber für erheblichen Versatz und trägt uns fort von unseren anvisierten Wegepunkten. This is a quick interior and exterior tour of our 2012 Beneteau Oceanis 48. It has a length overall (LOA) of 14.6 m or 47’11” and a beam of 4.74 m or 15’7”. Ours has the shoal draft keel which draws 1.96 m or 6'5". Displacement with the shoal draft keel and roller furling mainsail is 13,104 kg or 28,889 lb. The Beneteau Oceanis 48 can be configured with 2, 3, 4 or even 5 cabins. Our 48 is configured with three cabins, two heads and positions the galley to port. One cool feature unique to the 48 over the 45 is the master head and shower configuration. They are separate with the head compartment to port, the shower to starboard and the sink on the centreline. This means someone showering isn't occupying the head at the same time. Our Oceanis 48 is powered by a 75 HP Yanmar 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine muted to an SD 50 sail drive. We have sailed her at close to 10 knots in about 20 knots of wind.

Da auf dem Amazonas immer wieder unendliche Teppiche aus Treibholz schwimmen, bedarf es voller Konzentration und Geschicklichkeit des Bootsführers Slalom fahrend und reaktionsschnell den Außenborder aus dem Wasser nehmend, Boot und Passagiere heil und unverletzt zu transportieren. Wir haben diese 4-Tages all inclusive Tour über einen Kollegen von Bruno gebucht, mit dem wir in der Ciudad Pegida waren. Schon bald stellt sich heraus, dass „Naturepark“ nicht gerade intensiv gebucht ist, von englischsprechendem staff keine Rede sein kann und die Erfahrungen bzgl. All-inclusive-Touren rudimentär sind. Dennoch sind dieser Ort und insbesondere unser pittoreskes Baumhaus von bezaubernder Ursprünglichkeit. Eine mehrstündige Wanderung führt uns durch das Nachbardorf, in dem wohl auch unser guide lebt, sowie durch den unendlichen Dschungel. Mich fasziniert vor allem die solitäre Anordnung diverser Bäume und Pflanzen. Irgendwie hat die Natur einen Hang zur Präsentation möglichst verschiedener Sorten und Arten. Der Dschungel unweit der für uns Touristen angelegter Pfade ist einerseits undurchdringlich, anderseits aber, ordentlich, aufgeräumt. Unser guide ist introvertiert, spricht kein Wort englisch. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. Join us this week for a detailed tour of our 1989 built Gib'Sea 402. She is a 12.4m (40ft 8inch) masthead sloop sailing yacht, with a 3.8m (12ft 5inch) beam, and a 2.0m (6ft 6inch) draft. We have fitted her out so that we can live self-sufficiently for as long as possible occasionally needing to visit a marina to top up with water, fuel and food! As long as its sunny we generate all our own power, with 700W of solar panels, and 7,200Wh of LiFePO4 lithium batteries. We use a 3,000W inverter on board, which enables us to remove gas from our boat - all cooking is electrical. We also have a 2,200W generator as backup for the cloudy days. Mit dem Bus fahren wir hinaus zum 25 km entfernt liegenden José María Córdova Flughafen. Von hier fliegen wir eine kurze Strecke nach Prereira, um mit dem Bus weiter nach Salento zu fahren. Unser Hotel das Terasu ist die exakt richtige Wahl, um dieses Erholungsbedürfnis auszuleben, die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Rechtzeitig haben wir noch etwas warme Kleidung gekauft, da es hier in Salento aufgrund seiner Höhenlage empfindlich kalt ist. Prompt bekommen wir eine Erkältung. Ein erster Gang durch den Ort zeigt uns, dass wir hier richtig sind. Wir schließen den Tag mit einem Besuch in einem Spezialitätenrestaurant – es gibt hier Forelle, mit Knoblauch bzw. asiatisch. Am nächsten Tag machen wir einen Ausritt zu einer Kaffeeplantage. Unsere Reitkünste sind vergleichbar minimal. Mein Ross hat stetig den Anspruch Erster zu sein. Dafür haben wir uns einen Katamaran gekauft, mit dem wir Anfang März 2021 von der französischen Atlantikküste auf die Barfußroute gestartet sind. Seit vielen Jahren war eine Weltumsegelung mein (Hannes) großer Traum, den ich berufsbedingt zum Renteneintrittsalter verwirklichen wollte. Manchmal kommt das Leben aber anders als man plant. Im Frühjahr 2020 erhielt ich die Diagnose Morbus Parkinson. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März 2021geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich.
