Banedup Mit dem Inselnamen Banedup kann vielleicht nur der San-Blas-Routinier etwas anfangen. Spricht man jedoch von den Holandes Cays oder sogar vom Swimmingpool weiß jeder Bescheid. Spätestens wenn man von Ibins Beach Restaurant spricht, wird jeder aufmerksam. Auch wir hatten hier an der berühmten Silvesterfeier teilnehmen wollen. Nun sind wir doch hier – wenn auch verspätet. Swimmingpool Der Swimmingpool ist eine von Flachs beschützte 3 – 4 Meter tiefe Fläche mit reinem Sandboden nordwestlich von Banedup. Bei Sonne strahlt das Wasser türkisfarben. Heute hat der Wind ungewöhnlich nachgelassen. Wir brechen auf zum Schnorcheln. Zum Teil ist das Wasser super flach, sodass zumindest einer von uns aussteigen muss. Heute hat der Wind jedoch so weit nachgelassen, dass wir uns mit dem Dingy bis ans Außenriff trauen und hier eine faszinierende Canyon Landschaft durchschwimmen. Mir begegnen Manns große Rochen - sie sind schon ein wenig Angst einflößend. Die über 2 m großen Rochen ziehen mit wellenförmigen Bewegungen majestätisch unter mir dahin. The Turkish gulet for sale, constructed for charter by renowned builder Hasan Ali Bayar in 1990, is a masterpiece of traditional design and craftsmanship. Boasting a transom stern and sturdy construction, this vessel embodies the charm and elegance of classic Turkish maritime architecture. Since its launch, the gulet has undergone several upgrades to ensure optimal performance and comfort. In 2015, 2020, and 2023, significant enhancements were made, including the replacement of masts with 5mm, 2 steel masts coated with epoxy paint, and the installation of new wires. The deck, aft, and front seating areas were completely refurbished, and a new sun awning and solar energy panels were added. Additionally, the hull underwent a comprehensive renovation with an epoxy system in 2023, including antifouling treatment in November of the same year. Measuring 22.80 meters in length with a beam of 5.60 meters, the gulet boasts a draft of 2.70 meters. Its construction features mulberry wood frames for the hull and mahogany wood for the superstructure and interior. Nachdem auch die zweite Starterbatterie den Dienst quittiert hat, muss eine neue organisiert werden. Batterien sind in Panama absurd teuer. Diesel Der Diesel ist backbord und steuerbord nahezu alle. Ein Kuna-Boot transportiert uns 350 Liter Diesel bis zu MariaNoa – herzlichen Dank für diese Aktion. Frischwasser und Trinkwasser Aber unser größtes Problem ist die Frischwasserversorgung. Durch den Blitzeinschlag hatten wir vor der ungeplanten halbjährigen Produktionsunterbrechung die Membranen weder spülen noch konservieren können. Nach Wiederinbetriebnahme produzierte unser Wassermacher im Süßwasser zwar noch merkwürdig schmeckendes und riechendes Frischwasser, nicht aber im Salzwasser. Wir versuchten die Membranen auszubauen und irgendwie zu spülen - vergeblich. Dringend bestellte ich daher beim Hersteller die benötigte Ersatz-Unit. Aber wenn man etwas dringend, sehr dringend, benötigt, dauert es um so länger. Vor knapp vier Wochen habe ich mit dem Hersteller das erste Mal Kontakt aufgenommen. Aktuell stecken die Ersatzteile beim amerikanischen Zoll in Jacksonville Kentucky fest – und wir haben nichts zu trinken. Habt Ihr konkrete Fragen? Recorded in February 2024 ** ** This boat is not for sale ** This Oyster 485 is in great condition throughout and underwent a huge refit/update from 2020 to 2022. Her current owners, who bought Rhapsody with us in June 2022, sailed her from Spain to her new home in Florida, USA and have therefore dotted all the i’s and crossed all the t’s to make her even more crossing-proof. Countless items, both technical as optical, and both outside as inside, have been renewed and re-built. For instance, the standing rigging has been completely renewed and 80% of the running rigging has been replaced. Also, the main sail and the head sails were renewed. Furthermore, she has a new generator, new folding prop, new aircon, new electric toilets, new bow thruster, various new covers, etc. etc. Further to that, equipped with a reconditioned 100hp diesel engine, davits, new life raft, refurbished and partly renewed navigation equipment, etc. Under deck of this Oyster 485 are two well-appointed cabins on either end of the boat. Both cabins have their own head compartment which gives all guests on board great privacy. The master cabin aft has been completely rebuilt in 2022 including new mattresses and cushions. The spacious saloon and the walk-through galley are comfortable living areas and contain loads of storage space. Why is she for sale? The owners reluctantly must face the fact that age and ill-health mean that they can no longer safely sail the boat of their dreams.
