In 2014 Ed completed an 18 month circumnavigation with his father, and I (Paige) got to tag along for most of the Pacific🙌🏻. Following Ed's return we knew we would do whatever it took to get back on the water, this time in our own boat, together. So, after nearly 5 years of planning, saving, and questioning our sanity, we quit our jobs in 2019 and sold most of our non-essential/non-heartfelt belongings. We've decided to spend the next few years dedicating ourselves to travel and adventure while living aboard our 37 foot home, Sea Pearl. If you'd like to join us while we work to get our new home offshore ready and to see what we get up to on our future sailing adventures - like, subscribe, and follow along. We'd love to have you! Cheers! #Indonesia #sailingadventure #wonderfulindonesia #liveaboard #sailing #RajaAmpat #Komodo #Flores #SpiceIslands #snorkeling #familyvacation #summertrip Behold the beautiful world of the Mastigias papua ✨Did you know? These jellies have been isolated in rare saltwater lakes and lost their sting due to the absence of predators! We call them farmers because they farm zooxanthellae (tiny marine animals) that turn sunlight into food. They obtain about 70% of their food from the sun and the remainder using very specialized, weak harpoon cells along their graceful, flowing arms. But there's no need to worry; the little harpoons that catch small, unsuspecting swimming animals are too weak to break our skin. Actually, you can't even feel them! Would you join us and swim with them? 🪼 https://hubs.li/Q039lxgW0 👍 If you found this video interesting, don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE for more adventure in Indonesia through Indonesian eyes! Want to meet a Moray? Join us for a dive 👉🏽 https://cruisenautic.com/ ℹ️ The Goldentailed Moray aka the Bastard Eel, is a surprise that just might pull divers in for a closer look. Smaller then his Green cousin, he grows up to two feet long. Though not typically aggressive, he’s lightning fast with poor vision, often taking a liking to divers and like other Moray may even rub against divers as he swims by. Do not confuse this with friendship though, he’s just passing off parasites present on his smooth skin.
