In 2014 Ed completed an 18 month circumnavigation with his father, and I (Paige) got to tag along for most of the Pacific🙌🏻. Following Ed's return we knew we would do whatever it took to get back on the water, this time in our own boat, together. So, after nearly 5 years of planning, saving, and questioning our sanity, we quit our jobs in 2019 and sold most of our non-essential/non-heartfelt belongings. We've decided to spend the next few years dedicating ourselves to travel and adventure while living aboard our 37 foot home, Sea Pearl. Yesterday’s sail started off rough – choppy waves and headwinds all the way to Bilbao. Luckily, we weren’t the only fools who thought it was a good day to go sailing 😅 With the mainsail up for balance and the engine doing most of the work, we powered through the swell. Eventually, things calmed down, and we found our groove again – talking, napping - some napping more than others 🤭 And then… we got a bite! 🎉 Our first fish! 🎉 It’s been a pricey one, though – Three lost lures and probably over 50 meters of line before we landed this beauty.
