Cardio at 70+? You bet. Onboard Wahine, I naturally get upper body workouts, just by doing what I have to do. However, cardio and leg workouts are not as significant. So, now that my foldable bike is fixed, I’m riding the hills around Buren Bay, with Wahine moored just behind me. Life on a boat doesn’t offer much cardio, especially in the summer heat, so I’m glad to be sweating again (yes, even in Japan's humidity!). As my doctor once said: “If you’re sweating, you’re winning.” That’s the goal today, and most days. Never too late to move. Never too late to sweat. Never too late. 📍Filmed in Buren Bay, Japan 🇯🇵 🔔 Subscribe for more life-on-the-water inspiration, longevity tips, and slow adventure stories from Japan and beyond. #boatlife #japan #travel #liveaboard

Watch the full episode here: https://youtu.be/xFcigZv2FkU It's crunch time here in the workshop, and we've got just 7 days to chip away at a pretty daunting to-do list so we can be ready for a project that so many of you have been SUPER interested in....It's INSULATION WEEK! After months of planning and research, the time has finally come to spray foam the entire hull, but before we can do that, it is critical that we nail the prep work to prevent ourselves some major headaches down the road. So put on your respirator, buckle up, and let's do this thing!

🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [20/52] 🪢 These are the rules we have set up to feel safer on over night passages as we double hand our sailboat from point A to B. They enhance our chance to get a more peaceful sleep when you are not on watch, knowing that the other person is safe and still on the boat when you wake up. The person on watch must: 1. Wear the personal floating device at all times! 2. If needed to get up on deck, wake up the other one, and then tell when everything is done and you are safely back again. The person asleep does not need to get up, but will keep an ear out until all is done. 3. Hook the safety line to the boat when getting out of the cockpit. 4. Wake the other person up for operations like reefing the main and gybing. The person asleep must: 5. Set the alarm to wake up at the end of shift. Do you have any additional rules you would like to add? Let us know! Don’t forget to save this post and share it with a friend who needs to see this 🫶🏼
