We lost our rudder again and for good now! — Sailing Yabá #12

We are Ben and MP! Recently we decided to purchase a two-masted 70ft wooden schooner in Brazil. The fun detail about our story is that the boat we bought was sinking and relying on many bilge pumps to survive so we had to lift it onto the dry to start a full refit. In this episode, we are preparing our boat to receive its new keel, but that doesn't mean a simple sanding here and there... it means a lot of breaking and removing of big pieces that will need to be rebuilt before the new keel gets installed. Removing the rudder was quite an adventurous activity. Nobody got hurt, but don't try this at home.
