We all know that the majority of these islands were created by volcanos. But you forget the fact that they can be hibernating and not dead. They are all in a different state of activity and sometimes the top just blows, and everything can be gone before your brain can even register it. This week we step back in time to 1902 when Mt. Pele erupted in St. Pierre, Martinique. It was fantastic to see how the town has been rebuilt and thriving and how they kept the remnants of the past alive in their architecture and heritage sites.
