What started as a simple surf mission quickly turned into one of our favorite adventures in Indonesia. After hearing rumours of a wave on the other side of the island, we loaded up the dinghies, packed our boards, and set off on foot in search of what could be the perfect wave. The journey took us through remote villages, winding jungle trails, towering coconut groves, deserted beaches, and sharp coral coastlines. Along the way we met friendly locals, dodged sand flies, and explored a side of Indonesia that most visitors never get to see. And after all that walking... Was the wave worth it?
