Surviving A Tropical Storm | Sailing Britican

After watching a weather disturbance for days we felt confident that nothing more than a bit of rain and wind was coming. Unbeknown to us, a tropical storm formed overnight and crossed just north of our current anchorage. Knowing that serious weather bands might cause high winds and a large swell we made a decision to sail south to Grenada from St Vincent & The Grenadines. Although Britican has survived one tropical storm and three hurricanes we never stayed on board to see what it was like. This time we had no choice.
