Stewart Island — The Walk Out & Ulva Island | Rakiura Track Part 3

Stewart Island brought us the full experience — and this final part of the journey brought it all together. In this episode, we leave North Arm Hut and walk out the final stretch of the Rakiura Track. After the challenge of the previous day, the track feels lighter, easier underfoot, and a chance to take in what we’ve just moved through. But our time here wasn’t quite over. The following day, we visit Ulva Island — a predator-free sanctuary where the forest feels completely different. Birds, movement, sound… a reminder of what these environments can be. This is the final part of our Rakiura Track journey — a walk out, a shift in perspective, and a glimpse of something hopeful.
