Steel Sailboat Build - Fabricating Port Light Box frames Part 1

Cabin side box frames How To! The Roberts 370E Yacht I am building has a significant compound curve to it. However I want to install Lewmar opening port lights in the cabin sides but they will not fit flat or seal correctly because of the curvature. How to get around this! I addressed this issue by fabricating steel box frames with a recessed flat inner sealing face, which allows me to install the Lewmar port lights. Once made, I am able to inset the frames into the cabin side positioning them in such a way that the frames followed the cabin curve, but still provided a flat surface to install the openers.
