Our island-hopping journey through the Canary Islands continues as we set sail from Tenerife to La Gomera. The crossing takes us through one of the well-known acceleration zones where the trade winds funnel between the islands — giving us a fun, fast sail before reaching the calm wind shelter of La Gomera. We drop anchor in Laguna de Santiago, our first glimpse of this unique island, before discovering a hidden bay that truly takes our breath away. Towering cliffs, lava-carved caves, and a canyon that leads to stunning views — this place feels untouched and full of magic. Along the way, we meet a couple living off-grid in an old fishing bay, a reminder of how many ways there are to live a meaningful life connected to nature.
