We also experience a once-in-a-lifetime mother-son safari, showing how wildlife adventures can be part of your family gap year or world travel journey. Then we step back into history with a visit to Robben Island to see the prison cell of Nelson Mandela — a powerful educational moment for our traveling homeschool family. Of course, no South Africa travel vlog would be complete without standing at the dramatic cliffs of the Cape of Good Hope — a must-visit for anyone sailing the South African coast or planning a Cape Town itinerary. We are a suburban blended family that has raised our 3 older children and now want to travel the world. After planning and saving for the past 6 years, we are now embracing our dream of sailing around the world on our Leopard 45 sailing catamaran.
