Porsche 356 A Fuel Pump Leak Fix!

Hi Everyone, I’ve had a bit of a nagging fuel leak at the fuel pump in our 1958 Porsche 356A T2 Cabriolet. It turned out to be the rubber gasket under the top hat so today I will walk you through the replacement of this gasket. The pump sits right next to the distributor and those two had a fiery relationship in a past beetle of mine so I’m always keen to keep the engine bay free of leaking gas 😊 The rubber gaskets don’t seem to last more than a few years and if you notice a leak and a slight snugging of the top bold doesn’t fix it, just replace the gasket. The gasket I bought was part number 616 108 418 00 from Aase Sales Porsche Parts Center for like $8.50 or so… We hope you enjoyed the video.
