A treacherous stretch. With 5knots of current from behind I was flying along at speeds of 11 to 12 knots. I almost ran over a whale, or he over me?! And I got to know just why these waters are so feared as I rounded the cape in over 50knots of wind with gusts up to 65kn. An exciting ride to say the least that did leave its toll on Guppy and me.
