Join us on our first 1000+ mile double handed sail, when we experience our worst passage so far! Since it's a mostly upwind sail, with big swell and multiple weather fronts rolling through, we understand why many circumnavigators say this is probably their roughest passage. Leaving the US East Coast in Fall, we tried to squeeze between early winter storms at the start and get across the gulf stream safely, then avoid late season tropical storms as we got close to the Caribbean. With highly unpredictable weather at the change of seasons, we don't quite nail it. Hope you enjoy! _____________________ 0:00 Intro 0:49 Leaving offshore 2:23 Gulf Stream Crossing 3:03 First Weather Front 5:09 Eerie Second Weather Front 5:44 Caught a fish! 6:10 Surfing UPWIND 6:59 Running from a developing storm 8:54 Arriving St. Martin 10:06 Hurricane Irma damage 11:53 Sailing to St. Barths 13:15 Diving St. Barths
