Our Boat Must Move NOW and We Are 5,000 Miles Away!

We left our boat in Tahiti while waiting for our long-stay visa in Australia, but an unexpected marina emergency forced an urgent boat move without us on board! Welcome back to Barefoot Doctors Sailing! In this episode, our friend Trevor is boat-sitting our Nautitech 40 catamaran, LouLou, at Marina Papeete in French Polynesia. While tackling DIY boat repairs, including fixing a violently vibrating washing machine and hand-stitching our torn boom bag, the marina delivers shocking news. The pontoon where LouLou is tied up is being dismantled for urgent repairs, and the boat must leave its berth immediately. Because our passports are locked away at the embassy for visa processing, we cannot fly back to Tahiti. Trevor has to step up to captain a challenging marina move with the generous help of neighboring cruisers from SV Escapade and SV Seasential.
