Norwegian Girl sailing alone at sea to France - day 4

Day 4. A very different day from yesterday. The conditions were still good, the boat was sailing beautifully under the triple headsail setup, and honestly, everything should have felt amazing. But my body had other plans. I get affected a lot by low pressure systems, and when the pressure drops, I often get migraines. So the entire day was basically spent dealing with that. I was also just tired. Even though yesterday wasn’t physically exhausting, sailing still takes energy in a different way than life on land does. I never sleep quite as deeply out here, and I think it all just caught up with me. So today became a very slow day. Most of the time I was just lying inside on the couch with a headache, waiting for it to pass. Not exactly the dreamy sailing day you imagine when you picture crossing oceans. But honestly, I’m very grateful the weather was calm. Because it gave me the space to slow down, focus on myself, and just recover a little bit.
