As the haul-out travel lift came lumbering towards us, it was a lesson in hope, guts and teamwork. After some detective work and a chat with Oyster, we discovered that the material used for our log bearing was Tufnol®. We've discovered it will be easier to source/replace using Torlon®, which we'll make to size here in the marina. The stainless team got to work on the davits, adding a frame for the new solar panel waiting for us in Pangkor. They are strengthening the original system in preparation for the foul conditions we are likely to encounter during the forthcoming easterly ocean crossing. ❤️ Fancy spreading some love?
