Making a DIY TP10 Stand For My Lugger

I make a DIY stand for my Simrad TP10 Tiller Pilot. This is designed to screw into the deck of my Drascombe Lugger, Lulu leaving a flush deck when not in use. The reason it's quite a fat stand is so that it reduces the forces on the hull under pressure.
