Last 4 weeks until I am sailing alone nonstop around the world for 8 months

This week felt... weirdly reassuring. 😂 I'm finally back in Les Sables-d'Olonne and honestly, what a breath of fresh air. All the other competitors are arriving, boats are everywhere, everyone is working and, most importantly... I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH A RIDICULOUSLY LONG TO-DO LIST. I don't know if I should find that comforting, but I absolutely do. 😂 So this week was another one of those weeks where I worked all day and somehow the boat looked exactly the same at the end of it. Things came off. Other things went on. Things moved into storage. Things came back out of storage because apparently I still need them. And I'm still trying to understand how everything I need for eight months at sea is supposed to physically fit inside Showgirl. But we're getting there. The final four weeks are here now, and there's still A LOT to do. Tomorrow the official GGR programme begins, which means the boat work now has to somehow fit around inspections, briefings, tests, events and everything else that's about to start. So... here we go. Four more weeks of chaos.
