Island hopping in the Canary Islands: A smooth day sail & a BIG announcement!

We pick up anchor early in the morning in Fuerteventura and set sail across the Atlantic Ocean toward Gran Canaria. It turns into a long but beautiful day sail, with steady winds and a rolling two-meter swell carrying us all the way. As we approach the busy shipping lanes, ferries and cargo ships crisscross our path before we finally arrive in the north of Gran Canaria, home to one of the most protected anchorages in the Canary Islands. We are full-time boat people, currently sailing a Hallberg Rassy Rasmus on a journey that has already taken us from the Mediterranean, along the coast of Morocco, and now through the Canary Islands as we continue island hopping and planning new adventures further south.
