Installing the Oak Shutter Planks - Episode 166 - Acorn to Arabella: Journey of a Wooden Boat

It's a big moment here in the Acorn to Arabella boathouse. We have been steadily working on closing up the hull and now the oak shutters are going in. After these are installed, we will only have six more planks to go. Two cedar strakes will lead up to the final black locust sheer strakes. Right now though, we are reveling in the sight of a closed up hull inside the boat. It is amazing what a difference closing that gap makes visually.
