As we prepare Escapade for a Pacific Ocean crossing, we're tackling one of the most important sailboat maintenance jobs we've ever done: replacing our through-hull fittings and seacocks with a complete TruDesign installation. While it might not be the most exciting boat project, neglected through-hulls can become a major safety risk. A failure below the waterline can quickly turn into every sailor's worst nightmare. In this episode, we remove our old fittings, install new TruDesign composite through-hulls and seacocks, and take another big step towards getting Escapade ready for thousands of miles of offshore sailing.
