Hurricane Idalia /Sailing Free Spirit We have a hurricane coming in from Mexico. It’s expected to remain about 150 miles offshore and we are no longer in the cone for landfall. We are however expected to have significant storm surge of 4-6 feet at what else… king tide which is higher tide than normal. We are on floating docs and we are about as ready for this storm to come in as we can be. We are hunkered down on the boat in the marina for the next 24 hours.
