We’re back in Gladstone Marina… and this week it’s just Cait and Charlie holding down the boat while Sam is offshore working aboard the AMSA Emergency Tow Vessel. This is what life really looks like between adventures. We’re ticking off the never-ending boat jobs — sewing new seat cushions, helping friends with fuel runs, running errands, and settling into the rhythm of marina life as a duo. Sam was meant to swing off this week… but as anyone in the maritime world knows — plans are written in the sand at low tide. Instead, he’s been asked to stay on longer. So rather than a reunion, we’re doing the next best thing — dropping a bag of essentials (toothbrush, charger… and most importantly, COFFEE!) at the office so he can grab it on crew change day. This is the side of sailing you don’t always see — the waiting, the juggling, the real life in between.
