Galebound in Pompey - a storm and a lift out

526 Views· 04/06/21

Sailing into Portsmouth Harbour in very heavy rain. We then had a lift out, scrub and antifoul at the SeaLift dry dock facility in Haslar Marina. We got back in the water and moored safely just in time as the wind got up and we were stuck for the day, so we changed the fuel filters on the engine. Finally we scurried home to avoid more bad weather. 00:00 Leaving Chichester on our way to Portsmouth 01:09 heavy weather on the horizon. 03:29 Royal Navy Aircraft Carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth enters Portsmouth Harbour 04:14 Using the Sealift dry dock 06:34 Preparing a sailboat for a gale 09:48 Changing fuel filters on a Volvo Penta D1-30 11:24 Spinnaker sailing back to Chichester Harbour
