Episode 40 - What the HECK is SPLORE? (Sailing Family Circus)

Have you ever heard of SPLORE? We hadn't until last week when we met a cool guy named Will who came by to borrow a tool. He told us SPLORE was the most radically awesome festival New Zealand had to offer. AND it was family friendly! Incredible. We haven't been to any others in NZ to compare, but SPLORE was epic. Awesome! Amazing! We had a blast. If you're in New Zealand in February next year we highly recommend checking it out. (This episode was in no way sponsored by SPLORE. We just really loved our experience at the festival) Family Circus is a family of four sailing around the world on their boat, "Family Circus". We make movies about our life on board and share our experience of what it's like starting a youtube channel while sailing around the world. The core of "Family Circus" is Chris (Dad / Captain), Sayo (Mom / Admiral), Aya (First Officer / Deckhand) and Miya (Baby / Stainless Polisher). After many years in business in Vancouver we were tired of life inside the box and wanted to make a change, we just weren't exactly sure what would be next. In July of 2016, when Sayo was six months pregnant, we decided (somewhat at the last minute) to fly to New Caledonia for one last holiday before the baby was born.
