The majority of sailors believe that they have to be extremely skilled with their maneuvers but this is not the case. If you are very skilled and effective with the rope work and your lines and you are able to teach your crew how to do the simple tasks in a high level, then the maneuver can be successful even in the most extreme conditions. And from the other hand a very good maneuver means nothing if you cannot secure your lines on time in a safe way.
