While we are getting ready to downsize from a 3 bedroom family home to move aboard a sailing catamaran a massive storm throws us a curve ball. It is only a month away from the end of hurricane season in Florida and we are projected to get a direct hit from a monster category 4 storm. We are not located in an evacuation area and both of us are familiar with the hurricane preparation drills being from tropical areas. We help family and friends and get all our supplies and hurricane shutters up. We get gas, propane and fill up tubs and containers for water. Our intense focus on our sailing business startup and our upcoming move to Puerto Rico temporarily shifts to Hurricane Matthew. This is a peek into the tropical life. And our family getting prepared and bracing for the worst.
