The Starcraft pontoon boats VMT has rigged are powered by their E-Motion Electric Outboard motors (equivalent to 180HP gas outboard engines) along with a single marine-grade Chrysler battery and the system can propel the vessel through e-propulsion up to 36 MPH. The pontoon boat has a single 63 kilowatt battery pack with a motor offers 95% efficiency. The company claims a 90% reduction in maintenance with a system that meets both IP67 and IP69 stringent safety requirements. Vision Marine Technology has been focused on rigging pontoon boats with larger electric outboards for families to make them quieter and easier to maintain so that they offer a more enjoyable, eco-friendly experience for everyone onboard and around the boat.
