We leave Wineglass Bay and sail to the Darlington convict probation site of settlement on Maria Island. With the island car free we hire a couple of bikes and spend the day riding around checking out the penitentiary, French's Farm, Convict Cells, Painted Cliffs, and meet the cute and friendly wombats roaming wild on the island. We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia.
