Leaving Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay we head to the very lovely picturesque anchorage at Walkerville behind Bird Rock. We explore the historic Lime Kilns which operated from 1875 to 1926 and provided lime supplies to Melbourne's building industry. Flying the drone we get a lovely view of the bay, Brid Rock and the old kilns. Our final anchorage in Victoria is Oberon Bay, Wilsons Promontory with its lovely pure white beach and towering mountains on either side, to wait for our weather window before heading to Tasmania. We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022. We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change. We are just an ordinary Aussie couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other YouTube channels to follow our dreams. #circumnavigationaustralia #seawind1260 #seawindcats #sailing #sailingboat #victoria #walkerville #cruising #yachting #yachts
