Casper The Dog Sails From Puerto Rico to Grenada Picked up Casper from Washington, flew back to Puerto Rico, and he had his first sail to Grenada where we began prepping for the nonstop solo circumnavigation. Meet Casper — THE BRAVEST DOG IN THE WORLD, and the first dog in history to accompany a complete solo, nonstop circumnavigation of the globe. He’s not just my best friend. He’s my service dog. We’ve been together since the darkest days — the cancer house, the chemo, the bone marrow transplant. When I was too weak to stand, Casper stood guard. When I couldn’t see a future, he never stopped believing in one. Now, we’re setting out on the most daring adventure imaginable: sailing around the world alone, without stopping, without assistance — just me and Casper on a 34-foot boat, chasing the horizon. But this isn’t just about breaking records. It’s about becoming. After surviving cancer twice, I found myself lost. Not physically — spiritually. Life after cancer can be a confusing, bitter wilderness, and no one hands you a map. Through this journey, we’re raising funds to launch a nonprofit that helps cancer survivors rediscover who they are in the aftermath — not as patients, but as people with purpose.
