Acorn to Arabella - Journey of a Wooden Boat - Episode 99: Getting Ready for a New Roof

We have had a lot going on here at the boatyard. With having to revamp the roof due to the new building inspector in town, to getting the new thicknesser up and running, to getting the last oak planks on the boat before we leave for Costa Rica. We manage to get most of that done. In order to accomplish all this though, we have to go through some of the steps. One of which is getting the trusses made for the new roof. Not an easy task in the middle of winter in New England! With all of this going on, we still had to work on the oak plank we started to hang because we can't leave it sitting while we are gone in Costa Rica for two weeks. So, Alix, Keira and Steve go through the usual process of getting the plank on and off the boat over and over again in order to get it to fit. Which, also includes a bit more steaming to get the most curvy parts to fit properly.
