A perfect sailing week (in March)

Of course you can order the stuff you need online. But why? To buy the courtesy flags for our planned trip to Israel and Cyprus we decided to sail to the next bigger town, Fethiye. March turned out to be the perfect month for great sailing in Turkey. Wind, sun and no other boat around. The harbors are empty, the bays abandoned. We had a whole island for ourselves. Gemiler is a historic site where Saint Nicholas was buried before his body was moved first to Myra and then Italy. At least, that's what some people say. We discovered this amazing island while walking the dog. Actually sailing with a dog is a great experience because you have to stop at places you normally would pass. Even in strong winds up to 27 knots the dog felt save in our 30 year old Moody 425, ready to start in a great season in the Med.
