90 - Crossing the Equator

After departing Batam, Saoirse makes its way down to Pulau Ranoh (Ranoh Island) and Pulau Kentar (Kentar Island) and get our first look at the local Indonesian fishing industry, including floating fishing huts, traps, and small boats. Taking the Offshore Cruising Tender out, we plunged in for some snorkeling. Water clarity wasn't great, but there was a lot of life. Next, we set out southbound toward Belitung. Along the way we stop at the equator and conduct a little ceremony to mark the first time each of us four crew have crossed the equator on a small boat! You'll have to watch to see the shenanigans!
