At this time of the year, we still had massive sailing plans for 2020. With majority of the boat work completed, we took a few days to relax at the nearest islands before we made our way from Krabi province, Thailand across Phang Na bay to Phuket. We had been waiting for this day for a while as the forecast was light breezes and dead down wind. Perfect weather to raise our first sail for the year, what better way to do it than with our NEW spinnaker! We asked Aaron from Kore sails to make it colourful and with Bonita in charge of colour schemes, He did not disappoint! To quote Bonita "It looks like a Unicorn Farted!" What better name for our new sail than Unicorn Fart! The future was looking bright and the Froth levels were high in this one! YEW! With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! The adventure is just beginning as we plan to sail our Nandji girl around the world!! We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm offshore. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it! The olympic games had to be postponed. Many athletes were working hard to achieve this huge goal and be a part of the games in the summer. Even though it was the responsible thing to do the uncertainty among our sailors is not easy for them at the moment.
