Salut les loulous 🏝️⛵ Les jours semblent s’allonger au rythme de la houle : sixième jour, puis septième, puis huitième… Une mer formée, avec des vagues de trois mètres, et un vent établi entre 20 et 25 nœuds nous accompagnent . Le bateau avance vaillamment, sous deux ris dans la grand-voile et une trinquette . Peu à peu, après ces jours d’isolement, une émotion particulière nous gagne : la terre approche. À l’horizon, les côtes se dessinent enfin. Le moment est solennel. Nous hissons le pavillon du Cap-Vert, ainsi que le pavillon jaune, signe de notre arrivée imminente. Huit jours de mer ont laissé des traces la fatigue est bien présentent mais elle se mêle à une excitation difficile à contenir. L’ancre tombe finalement dans le mouillage de Palmeira. Le calme revient, presque irréel après le mouvement incessant du large. Nous prenons le temps de nous poser, de manger, de savourer cet instant simple mais précieux. Et bien sûr, nous levons nos verres pour célébrer l’arrivée un apéritif partagé comme une récompense. Très vite, les formalités nous rappellent à la réalité. Je prends l’annexe pour me rendre à terre et accomplir les démarches auprès de la police et de l’immigration. Puis vient enfin le moment tant attendu : poser le pied sur l’île. Les premières sensations sont intenses, presque bouleversantes. Cela fait quarante ans que j’attends cet instant. Chaque pas est chargé d’émotion. Après avoir récupéré nos cartes SIM, nous partons à la découverte de la ville. L’atmosphère est vibrante, chaleureuse, vivante. Les maisons, peintes de mille couleurs, illuminent les rues et contrastent avec tout ce que nous avons vu depuis le début du voyage. Ici, tout semble différent — les odeurs, les sons, la lumière. Scuba Adventure Raja Ampat To Lembeh An epic 12 day scuba adventure on a luxury liveaboard. Starting in Raja Ampat diving some of it's iconic sites to see schooling jackfish, Wobbegong and the elusive walking shark. Not to forget the few species of pigmy seahorses that can be found at Mioskon dive site. From Raja Ampat we moved on to Halmahera to see impressive coral cover walls and the famous large school of barracudas. After a few days exploring there, we moved on to Bangka Island to see even more beautiful soft coral reefs with an abundance of marine life. The last couple of days we spend in the Lembeh straits for world class muck diving. Season 3 Episode 77: Setting sail on the high seas! We encounter Big seas on our crossing, dinghy care, Cyprus to Turkey This episode Cass and Shelly continue their adventures as they set sail leaving their winter berth (Karpaz Gate Marina) and sail to Kąs, Turkey. As soon as we set outside the marina sea walls we encountered confused seas and no wind. This means no head or main sail to help balance the pendulum of the boat in rough seas. It was a bumpy start which only intensified throughout the night. We encountered 5-6 meter waves, a thunderstorm and lightning storm chasing us down with rain catching up with us in the middle of the night. It was during this time we had to address a rookie mistake of dragging the dinghy during a crossing. We then had to pull it in around 3 am with massive following seas. None of which was predicted on any wind or weather predictions. We made decent timing with the following seas, 2 days and 180 nautical miles later we made it to Kąs, Turkey where we check in and give our dinghy a good scrub. Next week we will explore and experience the port city of Kąs. We have a lot of fun things to share so make sure to tune in next week.
