In part eighteen of this series on how to build a wooden Snipe class sailboat I show how to make a tiller and tiller extension for the rudder. I mill the rough parts our of mahogany and then cut them to shape with a bandsaw. Then I hand finish the parts with planes, chisels, and sand paper. Hello! In this video, we're in Cape Verde in Mindelo and are taking a ferry across to the island of Santo Antão which is very close but you can't really go with the boat as there's nowhere to anchor. We have family visiting, so we stay there for a few days and go and explore this island that is a real hidden gem! We do lots of hikes (if you would like more info on any of the hikes/places let us know in the comments), and are surrounded by greenery, fruit trees and sugarcanes!
